
Middle Chiquita Water Facilities Project
Leatherman BioConsulting, Inc. performed biological/restoration monitoring service for the Middle Chiquita Water Facilities Project.
Monitoring the installation of the 16-acre revegetation project included the following tasks: nursery visits to check on the status and health of the container plants, coordination with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) regarding the seed mix, and monitoring the hydroseeding effort and container planting.
Leatherman BioConsulting, Inc. conducted all qualitative and quantitative monitoring, which included site photographs, health assessment of the site, line intercept transects, and preparation of quarterly and annual reports, which were submitted to USFWS and CDFW. After the five-year maintenance period, the site exceeded its performance criteria and was released from the Resource Agencies.
